Interesting how this subject came up with some friends of what Pandora’s Box actually referred to. “Today the phrase “To open Pandora’s box” means to perform an action that may seem small or innocent, but that turns out to have severely detrimental outcomes.” As found looking it up.
With one of my rare thoughts I see it as this. It came down to when opened bad things happen. Usually it is our big mouth. In a sense Pandora’s box actually refers to the voice box. In a lot of cases. Because in my opinion when we developed language further/or what we would say many things changed. A lot of it not for the best.
And to the most important thing about Pandora's Box. It is not what you say, but how you say it.
